Inclement Weather or Emergency Cancellations and Delays:

Check the website for information regarding closings and delays. A note will be posted on  the Facebook feed on the bottom of the homepage (you may need to scroll!). Instructors may also email or call program participants to inform them of closing decisions.  When in doubt, call 410.289.5576!

In most cases, The Red Doors Community Center will follow the lead of Worcester County Public Schools in making decisions for closings and delays. If school is cancelled, we will  usually not run programs for Little Ones or Youth. Class sessions will be made up on a case-by-case basis depending on the instructor’s schedule.

As school cancellation decisions take into account road conditions on back roads in remote areas of Worcester County as well as the increased hazard of operating a bus as compared to regular vehicles, in some situations The Red Doors may remain open at times when Worcester County Public Schools have decided to close.  Conversely, our location adjacent to the ocean could result in situations where we are experiencing flooding when other areas are fine.

If school is delayed by 1 hour, programs will continue as normally scheduled.
If school is delayed for 2 hours, programs for Little Ones beginning prior to 11 am will be cancelled unless the instructor makes alternative arrangements.
If school is delayed for 1 or 2 hours, adult programs will run as scheduled unless the instructor makes alternative arrangements.
If school lets out early due to impending weather conditions, afterschool and evening programs for Little Ones and Youth will be cancelled. Programs for adults will be cancelled unless the instructor makes alternative arrangements.

You can always contact the director via email if you are unsure whether a class has been cancelled.

Refunds:
On a case-by-case basis, a portion of program fees may be refunded if you are unable to complete a program for which you have registered. Please contact the director via email at  regarding refund requests.

Pro-Rates:
Please contact the director for information on registering for a program after the start date at a pro-rated amount. This may be possible in some cases, but we do not have a blanket policy as each instructor is an independent contractor.

Drop-Ins:
Pre-registration is required for most programs. Drop-in rates may be available for people who would like to try a program or who will only be able to attend a limited number of sessions. Please contact the director for more information.
