The Red Doors welcomes all area residents and visitors!

Our Mission

To enrich children and adults of the community in mind, body, and spirit through education, creativity, recreation and philanthropy.

Who We Are

Our program facilitators and partners are Independent Contractors who are excited to share their expertise and passion with members of the community.

The Red Doors Community Center is an outreach of St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church. Although we are a religiously affiliated non-profit organization, our programs are designed for people of all faiths or no faith. If a program is of a religious nature, it will be evident in the program description.

What We Do

The Red Doors connects resources in the community to increase opportunities for children and adults.  Programming includes classes, workshops, and events in a variety of areas:

About Our Name

The doors of Episcopal churches are traditionally painted red. Since the Middle Ages, a red door has indicated sanctuary and is a sign of welcome. The Red Doors Community Center welcomes everyone, as does St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church.

Where to Find Us

The Red Doors Community Center is located on the ocean block of 3rd Street in Ocean City, Maryland. Most programs are held in the DeWees Hall building facing south on 3rd Street and Atlantic Avenue (in between St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church and the Boardwalk). The facilities are wheelchair accesible. Some programs are offered offsite. Municipal parking lots are located nearby and street parking is available. Please note that the town of Ocean City has paid parking rates in effect for some  areas from April 1st through October 15th. Free street parking is always in effect on Philadelphia Avenue and bayside.
